ICANHASCHEEZBURGER.COM - LOLCATS

I just heard about this site at SXSW today. I’m sitting in a session where the developers are talking about the challenges and history they worked through to get there site where it is today.

Here’s what the intro to the session I’m in says about the site:

I Can Has Cheezburger? continues to eat a way your lunch hour, anthropomorphize your animals, and mock your friends. Despite a sh***y design, $0 spent on market, and an impossible-to-spell URL, ICHC continues its amazing growth (thank you!). But growing quickly can kill you. Surviving DDoS, Trolls, copyright laws, server bills, and a huge serving of WTMF left us with many battle scars. We’ll provide you with a lens into our past so that you can learn from our mistakes. We’ll help you survive yours. Our internet battle scars, let us show you them.

The gist of the site is that you just share a photo where you’ve embedded some captions of letters into a photo that makes it even more humorous. The original photos all had cats, but now it’s much more than that.
