Uncover The Internet

Merck Vetrinary Manual

by Wendy on January 18th, 2006

I don’t know about you, but in my spare time, I LOVE to read vetrinary manuals from cover to cover.

brief pause while author giggles wildly and then composes herself

No, seriously, my dog was puking his guts out yesterday because HE PUTS EVERYTHING IN HIS MOUTH. He’s a puppy, and puppies are like babies - they are genetically programmed to eat everything on the floor, even if it’s nasty and old (especially if it’s nasty and old).

So I did a quick search online to find out if there was anything I needed to watch for during the Saga of the Barfing, and came across the Merck Vetrinary Manual online, in its entirety, with “over 12,000 indexed topics and over 1200 illustrations.” Easily searchable and a great authority on pretty much anything animal-related.

Disclaimer: Please, for the love of Pete, no comments or emails telling me that online vet manuals can’t substitute for quality vetrinary care yada yada yada. We’re all big kids here and we can figure that out.
And a brief note: Charlie the Puking Dog is fine; he ate one of the cat’s catnip mice and subsequently is banished to the place where bad dogs go..until he looks at me with the squishy face, and then it’s all over.
