Protopage Releases New Version
Protopage has released an updated version of their personal homepage portal. If you’re not familiar with Protopage, it’s a completely customizeable personal portal page that you design as you wish. They were one of the first (if not the first) websites that let you use some nice ajaxy drag ‘n drop functionality to organize groups of information on your page.
With the latest version of Protopage, they’ve improved on what was already a great concept for a personal portal. Specifically 30 new improvements including those below:
– Instant collaboration - set a password to let others see or edit your page
– Color coded tabs and categories, to help you organize your information better
– Listen to and watch audio and video podcasts
– A new news reader, meaning you can zip through your morning news in record time
– Cartoon support - see a Dilbert cartoon directly on your page!
– 270 preloaded widgets, including 96 games, 71 finance widgets and 26 sports score widgets
