Searchmash - A new, slick search option

A friend just alerted me to this new search site called Searchmash.

I’ve heard that it’s all Google down underneath it, but I really like the Ajax functionality of this search site and it’ll be interesting to see if Google will go this way and this is a test site or what? But try it out and let me know what you think.

So, I tried it out and let me tell you. I REALLY LIKE IT! It’s nice and clean like Google, but organizes search results into expandable panes that are grouped by type: Images, Blogs, Video, Wikipedia. It’s really nice having all that in one place with no fuss or effort, and they slide nicely out of the way if you’re not interested.

Try it out for yourself, you may just change your mind on your preferred search. I’m adding it into my IE7 search options now.
