Spider, Pakistan’s Internet Magazine
Pakistan has an internet magazine called Spider that looks kind of interesting; here’s a blurb:
“The monthly magazine carries cover stories and feature articles on the development of the Internet and how it affects Pakistanis. It includes articles from some of the world’s leading technology gurus and the best names in the Pakistani IT scene. In addition, we keep policy makers and leaders in the telecommunications industry abreast of issues that are of interest to consumers and professionals alike.
Some of the issues we focus on include Internet access, regulation, usage and potential. We do not restrict our focus to Pakistan but also include content from our South Asian partners such as BytesForAll.org (an electronic news bulletin service at: www.bytesforall.org). Our panel includes contributing editors and writers who cover features based in Pakistan and abroad (UK, US, and Canada). We also receive considerable input from Pakistanis based in the Silicon Valley, US and our readers who take to writing frequently, and getting published.”
Lots of very useful information, including Net Basics, edutainment, and Pakistan Online, a list of exclusively Pakistani-related sites.
