The Face of a King - Tut Unmasked

I was always excited to study about Egyptian history when in school. News today announced that they’ve removed the shroud from King Tutankhamun’s face for all the world to see.

 The Reuter’s photo to the left provides the best portrait view of the face of the king from the collection being shared on Yahoo! News website.

Scientists are worried about the impact of years of tourism to the tomb and display. The increased moisture and heat from even the simple act of everyone breathing appears to be taking its toll on this amazing artifact.

The 19-year old boy king has quite the buck-toothed overbite doesn’t he? Something I didn’t realize was a family trait among his own ancestors.
