Uncover The Internet

The Indianapolis Zoo

by Jason Bean on April 5th, 2007

Indianapolis Zoo website

My family and I have been members of the Indianapolis Zoo for a few years now. It’s a great zoo already, but things are going to improve even more this coming season. Their redesigned website highlights some of the new features and animals that they’ll be introducing the Indianapolis community soon.

One of the most exciting premieres will be the new Oceans Exhibit, featured here on their website. One of my clients for my day job has been working on the build-out, so I’m hoping I might be able to get some kind of sneak peak access before all the crowds arrive, if not, being a zoo member gets us in a day early when it opens, and an hour early everyday the zoo is open.

The website also has a couple of webcams available for their white rhino and walrus exhibits. They’ll be adding more soon. For some reason they seem to be having some technical difficulties right now, or at least I can’t access them from my current internet connection.

Do you have a local zoo? Do you support it? What do you think? Tell us about your zoo in the comments, maybe we live close to you and never realized there was something cool about the zoo we didn’t know about.
