This Day in History - The #1 Song
I heard about Josh’s website as I was listening to my favorite talk radio station on the way home from work yesterday. When I was a kid, long before the days of the Internet, I used to listen to Kasey Kasem’s Top 40 and write down each song and keep a list of them. I’d normally do that while recording them onto a cassette tape for my favorites. Josh Hosler has taken this and delivered it to the next level.
The website lets you look up any date in history and find out what the #1 song was on that day.
It’s a fun and entertaining website. The songs are even linked to the samples on iTunes if they’re available there.
Nice work Josh, I’ve got you in my Favorites now.

Thanks, Jason! Looks like we had exactly the same hobby growing up. For me, it started the weekend of 6/8/85, and “Everybody Wants to Rule the World” was the #1 song.
